Dear Valued Residents,
REF : TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF JACUZZI (amended on 20th August 2024)
The Malaysian Ministry of Health (MOH/KKM) is preparing through strengthening surveillance and advocacy activities related to MPox including increasing monitoring at all international entry points. This follows the declaration by the World Health Organization (WHO) on Wednesday 14th August 2024 that MPox is at the level of the Public Health Emergency of International Concern (PHEIC) category. The WHO warned that the virus might ultimately spill across international borders.
Pertaining to this concern, Teega Management will be temporarily closing all Jacuzzis at the Residence and Suites starting from Monday, 19th August 2024, until further notice.
In the meantime, we would like to share the following preventive measures recommended by MOH/KKM:1. Individuals with a history of risky activities who develop rashes or blisters should immediately seek medical attention at a nearby health facility and avoid contact with others to prevent spreading the infection.2. Ensure that businesses offering services involving skin contact, like spas and massage parlors, maintain strict personal and environmental hygiene. Also, ensure that no employees or customers with symptoms like rashes or blisters are allowed on the premises.
