REF: LET’S RECYCLE E-WASTE—FOCUS ON BATTERIES!
Referring to the above, we are excited to introduce a new initiative in our community to encourage responsible E-waste recycling, starting with a focus on used batteries.
🌱 What is E-Waste?
E-waste (Electronic Waste) refers to discarded electronic devices and components that are no longer in use—this includes items like old phones, chargers, laptops, and batteries. These items can contain harmful materials that, if not properly disposed of, can damage the environment and pose risks to health.
🔋 Why Focus on Batteries?
Used batteries, especially rechargeable ones, contain toxic metals like lead, mercury, and cadmium. When thrown in regular trash, they can leak into soil and water, polluting the environment.
By recycling batteries:
- ♻️ We reduce environmental pollution
- 🔧 Valuable materials like zinc, lithium, and nickel can be recovered and reused
- 🛡️ We help prevent potential fire hazards caused by improper disposal
- 🌍 We contribute to a cleaner, greener future
📍How You Can Help:
We’ve set up a battery recycling drop-off point at each lobby Tower. Simply collect your used batteries and drop them off into the designated recycle box.
