Dear Valued Residents,

REF: BE AWARE OF RENTAL SCAMS

Please be informed to stay vigilant of ongoing rental scam activities targeting the public, including high-rise residences.

How They Trick You

• Scammers post fake rental ads on online platforms (e.g., Mudah.my, etc.).

• They rent a homestay and pretend to be the homeowner, then arrange a viewing.

• During viewing, they pressure you to pay a deposit immediately, claiming “many interested tenants” or “high demand”.

Spot & Spot Rental Scams

• Research the unit, landlord, and any agent involved thoroughly.

• The rental price too cheap or too pushy? Big red flag

• No tour? No deal. See the place and the face.

• Check with Teega Security and Teega Management Office for verification and clarification.

If You’ve Been Scammed

• Stop all communication with the scammer.

• Do not transfer the deposit or any money without proper and genuine confirmation.

• Gather all evidence and file a police report immediately
